Upon removing the existing tiles, it became glaringly evident that there was no felt layer beneath them, and the underlying timber boarding had suffered extensive damage. This entailed the careful removal of all chipboard from the roof, allowing us to replace it with new 18mm OSB boarding secured to the timber joists. Furthermore, a new breathable membrane was meticulously installed, setting the stage for the counter and tile battens to be fitted with precision.
Our commitment to precision extended to the installation of brand-new Marley Tiles, ensuring that they were perfectly aligned to provide the roof with the optimal headcover. Upon the completion of the tiling work, we elevated the roof’s aesthetics and functionality by installing a dry verge and ridge system, further enhancing its performance and appearance.
